SYNOPSIS
Eleven-year-old Sana joins a five-week surf therapy program in Ostend, determined to learn despite repeated setbacks. As she gains resilience and confidence through surfing, she embraces opportunities unavailable to her in Afghanistan, proving that every challenge and fall is worth overcoming.

Britt Vanhaelen is a Belgian television director, she built hands-on experience across interviewing, multicamera directing, location production, and editing. They directed programs for major Belgian broadcasters, including MasterChef, The Traitors, and Married at First Sight. In 2026, her debut documentary, "In Between Waves", premiered at the Youth and Film Festival Antwerp and won the ECFA Jury Award for Best Ket & Doc.
